Clean Water Beaches

The beaches around the Villa are very clean and the water is clear.

A day by your own large private pool

Our pool is fantastic! It's much larger than most villas too. Easy steps built into the pool make getting in easy however old you are. - Ellie and Rhodri - Summer 2009

Sailing and Windsurfing

The silver coast is renowned for its surf beaches, with the world-famous surf spot ‘Supertubos’ only a 20 minute drive from the villa. Wetsuit and board hire is available from the various surf shops around Baleal and Peniche. Lessons can also be taken, with a wide choice of surf schools in Ferrel.

Local Fish Dishes

There are lots of places to eat ranging from small beach restaurants to larger restaurants near the port of Peniche ( about 12 minutes away ). If you like fish you are in for a treat as the fish are so fresh having just been caught by the local fishermen.

Obidos Castle

Obidos is a hill-top town which is encircled by a fortified wall and crowned with a magnificent castle. This world heritage UNESCO village cannot be missed whether you go simply to wander around the walled streets and visit the local bars/ cafes or if you fancy touring the castle itself and taking an historic approach. This attraction is approximately 15 minutes from the villa.

Horse Riding

There are many places at which you can horse ride in the surrounding area. A particularly good place to go is the Escola Equestre Lusitana at the Quinta do Regato near Obidos (behind the castle). This riding school is highly recommended and offers lessons for all abilities with lessons for beginners at approximately 10 euros per hour or advanced riding lessons for approximately 20 euros per hour. It is advisable to pre-book.
